Mira Costa Model United Nations attended the annual National High School Model United Nations conference from Feb. 28 to Mar. 5 in New York City and the University of California Berkeley MUN conference from Mar. 4-6.
40 Costa students traveled to New York City for NHSMUN and took 1st place out of the 337 schools that attended. Another 40 Costa students traveled to the University of California, Berkeley conference to debate. Costa delegates senior Reid Bryan, junior Tooba Wasi and sophomore Keeley Parker all gaveled.
“I am very happy with our overall outcome,” Secretary General of Costa MUN senior Danielle Major said. “As a team with predominantly underclassmen, everyone stepped up to pull his or her weight and we got the result we were looking for.”
