Mira Costa’s girls basketball team defeated Morningside by 41 points on Jan. 16 at Morningside High School with a score of 66-25. The top performer of the game was sophomore Skylar Herdman who was a strong defender helping Costa hold the Monarchs to under 30 points.

Costa’s Boys Basketball was defeated on Wednesday, Jan 10th by the Peninsula Panthers in an overtime home game by a score of 70-67. Costa’s played well on offense scoring mostly off three point shots, but wasn’t able to stop the Panthers’ guards who were very effective from short and long range.
