On Wednesday September 30th, Mira Costa defeated PV 12-6 in their second match of Bay League. The Mustangs overall record now stands at 8-2, and, according to senior Ella Lokier, the Mustangs are excited and ready to put in the work to keep winning during the Bay League season.
“Varsity performed very well in our match,” said senior Ella Davis. “With our collaboration and teamwork, Costa did an excellent job in working together to pull out a win. We are very proud of our team, and are looking forward to the rest of the season hoping to keep winning.”
Some of the top performers of this match were number 2 doubles team, senior Ella Davis and freshman Alisa Lansky. The duo went undefeated, and ended with the best overall record of the doubles teams for this match. The Mustang’s next Bay League match is against Santa Monica on October 4th at Santa Monica.
“The team worked very hard and well together in order to pull off this win,” said Lokier. “We went into the match excited and ready to perform our best. PV is a good team and we went into it wanting to prove that we deserve to win because we put in the effort.”
