MBUSD holds ceremony for 3 retiring staff members

On Dec. 19, a ceremony was held to commemorate three Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) staff members, Jeff Mullikin, Karen Cunningham, and Chris Schiraldi who are retiring this year.

Costa Principal Dr. Karina Gerger shared words about the three, and there was a staff lunch. Mullikin had worked in MBUSD for 37 years, Cunningham has worked for 32 years, and Schiraldi has served the district for nearly nine years.

“Earlier this year, I met with Mullikin about a project that I am working on for my Grades of Green Club; he was super responsive and willing to meet with me,” said junior Claire Koerber.
