John Maher Sr passed away on March 7, 2019 after a battle with cancer. He was born on March 2, 1962 in Inglewood, California and graduated from Hawthorne High School and went on to attend El Camino College. John started working for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District in 2001 as a substitute teacher, an Operations Worker and a Building Maintenance Worker. As a Building Maintenance Worker for the last 12 years, John visited all district school sites and gathered many friends within the district. He was always incredibly helpful and positive and will be dearly missed by his MBUSD family. […]
