Mira Costa’s Varsity Wrestling team defeated Santa Monica High School 60-12 at a home dual meet on January 16. Top performers included senior Will Curtis and Tyler Gordon who competed against a state ranked wrestler.
The Mira Costa girls varsity soccer team put up a good fight but ultimately fell 3-1 to Palos Verdes during their home game on January 12. The game’s top performer was freshman Sydney Saypack, who scored Costa’s only goal of the game.

Mira Costa’s Girls Wrestling competed in the Lady Warrior Invitational at Torrance High School on Saturday, January 13 for their first varsity meet of the year. The top performer was senior Sasha Medvidovic who placed 1st in the 160 lbs weight division.
Mira Costa’s Girls Water Polo defeated Peninsula High School on Monday, January 8 at home on their first week back from winter vacation with score of 15-5. The top performer was Leigh Lyter with incredible offense throughout the whole game.

Costa’s Boys Basketball was defeated on Wednesday, Jan 10th by the Peninsula Panthers in an overtime home game by a score of 70-67. Costa’s played well on offense scoring mostly off three point shots, but wasn’t able to stop the Panthers’ guards who were very effective from short and long range. Costa’s standout player was junior Carson Carrey who hit clutch three pointers throughout the game. […]
