On April 14, a Mira Costa track and field athlete tied a Mustang record once again during this season. The Costa record for the high jump, set in 1970, was matched by senior Dan Golubovic when he jumped a height of 6-feet and 6-inches.
Aside from Golubovic tying the record, Costa had an overall successful invitational. Sophomore Niko Pappas and senior Adam Perez excelled in the mile run with times of 4:30 and 4:34 respectively.
Costa will host rival Redondo Union High School on April 18 for a home meet.
