The Mira Costa Mustang softball team played its final Bay League game of the year on Thursday May 10 against Palos Verdes and won by a score of 9-6. The girls finish second place in Bay League and finish the regular season with a league record of 8-2 and an overall record of 21-7.

Freshman Ulufa Leilua did the most of the damage for the Mustangs by going two for four with a double and two runs batted in. Her double in the fifth inning gave Mira Costa the lead and the Mustangs never looked back.

The girls now enter CIF playoffs as the second seed in Bay League and will find out who they play on Monday when the bracket is released.
