The Mira Costa girls varsity water polo team participated in the El Dorado tournament from Thursday, Nov. 29 to Saturday, Dec. 1. The team had a record of 3-2 in the tournament.
The Mustangs went 1-1 on Nov. 29 with a 12-0 shutout against El Capitan, and 7-6 loss against Cerritos. On Nov. 30, they played one game and beat Costa Mesa 12-7. The last day of the tournament, Dec. 1, the team went 1-1 again, with a 10-7 win against Mission Viejo, and 8-5 against Villa Park for a loss.
“This tournament was a great way to start off the season,” sophomore Isabella Magno said. “I cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.”
The team next game is on Tuesday Dec. 4 at home against Los Alamitos at 3:30.
