The Mira Costa boys varsity basketball team lost to rival Redondo Union High School on Tuesday, Jan. 29, with a score of 62-56 in an away match. The Mustangs are now 5-3 in Bay League.
Junior Justin Strings lead the team with 25 points. Seniors Cole Feaster and Oliver Mausner scored 13 and 8 points, respectively.
“We got off to a quick start but it went downhill,” senior Adam Winnett said. “However, no matter what was happening at the time, our team was resilient and fought until the end. Of course, we wanted to get the win, but what really matters is that we kept pushing until the buzzer sounded.”
The Mustangs’ next match will be on Friday, Feb. 1, away against Leuzinger High School.
