The boys varsity soccer team played an away game on Tuesday, Jan. 29, against Redondo Union High School and lost 3-1. The boys’ record is currently 1-5-1 in Bay League.

In the first half of the game, the Seahawks were able to score two goals against the Mustangs. In the second half, Redondo scored another goal, making the score 3-0. In the last five minutes of the game, senior Frank Raleya scored Costa’s one and only goal bringing the final score to 3-1.

“It was nice to be able to score at the end but it wasn’t enough,” Raleya said. “We needed to pick it up on defense and play the whole game with the intensity we played with in the last five minutes.”

The boys’ next game will take place on Friday, Feb. 1 at Leuzinger High School.
