The Mira Costa girls basketball team beat rival Redondo Union High School 66-48 on Jan. 29 for the second time this season. The girls now have a 15-9 overall record.
Junior Camille Mills was the Mustangs’ top scorer with 20 points throughout the game. Sophomore Haley Tojo also helped the Mustangs with 19 points. The girls had a strong lead on the Seahawks, finishing the third quarter 50-35 to finish the game victorious.
“I’m really proud to be a part of such a great team,” Tojo said. “I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds for us, we are all working well together and it shows in every game.”
The girls will play their next game away, at Leuzinger High School on Feb. 1 at 6 p.m.
