Baseball beat El Segundo in both games of a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 19. The team won the first game in the tenth inning 5-4, and the second in a 3-0 shutout.
Senior Christian Reynolds and sophomore Michael Rumpp pitched the first game. In the tenth inning with senior left fielder Kevin Lopez on first, senior catcher Austin Henning hit a walk off double, scoring Lopez. Senior Gordon Cardenas pitched the second game and held El Segundo at no runs.
“Both of our games were dedicated to Henry Pearson [alumni who died in a car crash],” Lopez said. “I’m glad we could win for him.”
