A Mira Costa student was arrested on June 3 after the Manhattan Beach Police department received multiple anonymous calls reporting the use of an illegal substance in a car outside the Costa campus.
The Manhattan Beach Police found marijuana use in the suspect’s car.
“The subject in the car was arrested for 11359 Health and Safety, Possesion of Marijuana for sales, 22210 Penal Code, possession of a weapon other than a firearm,” Mira Costa School Resource Officer John Loy said.
The male student was arrested on Peck Avenue and Nelson Avenue.
“These situation are avoidable by following the law and not using and selling narcotics around campus,” Loy said.
