Boys water polo placed third in the Henry Stuart South Bay Tournament on Oct. 19.
Junior goalie Nicholas Dale and junior perimeter Dylan Koester led the way in goals as the boys played at Costa and other south bay pools. Costa beat Redondo Union High School in the quarterfinals, lost to Arroyo Grande High School in the semi-finals, but defeated Montebello High School in the match for third place.
Senior perimeter Drew Rogerson and senior perimeter Corey Erickson combined to score 5 goals in their last game.
“It wasn’t our best showing, we looked tired and sluggish,” coach Jon Reichardt said. “We did not play to our potential. We played well in the last game to take 3rd. We have to play better in the future and take every game seriously.”
The boys play will play away on Monday against South Pasadena High School at 3:15 p.m..
