The Mira Costa boys basketball team faced El Segundo High School on Jan. 10 in their last non-league game, winning 53-50. The boys overall record is now 14-2.
Senior forward Justin Strings led the Mustangs with 22 points. Senior forward Jake Feder helped in the victory with 16 points and 3 three-point shots. Senior forward Chase Crandall scored 6 points for Costa with 2 three pointers throughout the game.
“The whole team played really great, and everyone put in the effort to do their jobs out on the court to get the win,” Strings said. “I’m excited for league games to start and I think our team is ready to win.”
The boys play West Torrance High School at home tonight at 7:30 p.m.
