On Sept 13, Costa’s Boys Cross Country team attended the Laguna Hills Invitational Meet with all freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior teams placing in the top 10 overall.
There were 75 schools total at the meet and 20 of those teams competed in Costa’s division. Out of all schools, Madera South, Rubidoux, Corona, and Vista Murrieta were the only boy’s teams that beat Costa.
The freshman team earned third place overall in their category, with Xavier Court running the three mile course with a time of 16:14, setting a new Costa freshman record. The sophomore team placed second, with Caleb Llorin at 16:29. Juniors placed sixth, with Ethan Williams running a 16:33. The senior team came in second place, with their top runner, Chance Weston, finishing with a time of 16:17.
The next meet is the Woodbridge Invitational on Sept 20. It is one of the top meets Costa will be attending this year. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors will be competing and the top seven runners from Costa will be placed on a Varsity team, who will compete in a separate category.
