Mira Costa boys water polo had an exciting victory today Tuesday, Sept 23 against the CIF 10th seeded Team Palos Verdes High School. Although Mira Costa had the advantage playing at home it was a close game that ended up with Mira Costa Scoring a tiebreaker at the final seconds of the game.
In the fist quarter Mira Costa was down by 2 points because of poor defense but they were able to work past their emotions and finish the game strong, which resulted in a score of 6-5. Costa was able to get ahead by scoring five points before the fourth quarter, which caused them to be in the defensive position for the rest of the game. Although Mira Costa preformed well many players like forward, Jake Tolt, agreed that in order to produce more wins they really need to focus on their defense
The third game of Mira Costa’s water polo season will be held on Thursday, September 25 versus Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and will be held at Peninsula High School.
