Sept 25, the Mira Costa boys water polo team defeated Palos Verdes Peninsula High School 9-5 at an exciting away game. Mira Costa started the game quickly in the beginning of the first period and used their momentum to finish the game with a strong lead.
During the game, Costa was able to learn from their mistakes from the previous games and improve upon them. Brandon Lavinsky led the mustang’s to victory by scoring 5 of the Mustang’s 9 goals. the other 4 goals were scored by Chase Williams, Lucas Brannan, Christian Thorton, and Andrew Todd. Nick Dale was also able to block several goals keeping Peninsula well behind Costa.
“ This game was a great confidence booster for us; it also helped us improve our chemistry which is really important to have early in the season.” said Antonis Nahabed, “ I think we will be able to take this confidence and use it to win our games to come”
