Girls Softball played Cajon High School in a non-conferance game on Saturday. The Mustangs were not able to hit any runs, and lost to the Cowboys 5-0.
The player of the game was senior center fielder Kasey Hutton who contributed with a base hit, a double, and what would have been a home run if the Cowboy’s outfielder was not playing so deep.
“Kasey really stepped up and tried to get the momentum going in the game,” senior pitcher Dillan Boada said.
Cajon scored first with a run in the first inning. Both teams remained evenly matched with no runs until the seventh inning where Cajon scored four runs, ending the game with a score of 5-0.
“They managed to pull ahead and just had a better game,” senior outfielder Samantha Matson said.
Girls softball has a record of 17-7 and a Bay League record of 5-1. They took a short rest and played Whittier later that day.
