Mira Costa choir students earn spots on Southern California Vocal Association

Mira Costa Choir juniors Kayla Elson, Isabel Gray, Owen Konsmo, and Antonio Sellitto were accepted into the Southern California Vocal Association Honor Choir yesterday.

The students competed against other students from all over the South Bay during auditions on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. Sellitto was accepted into the Men’s Honor Choir, while Elson, Gray, and Konsmo were accepted into the Mixed Honor Choir.

“One-hundred percent of our students [that auditioned] were accepted into this year’s SCVA Honor Choirs and as you can imagine, I am very proud of each and everyone of them,” Choir director Michael Hayden said. “Mira Costa should be very proud as well.”
