The show tells the story of Barry Allen(Grant Gustin), a forensics worker struck by a lightning bolt created by an exploding particle accelerator. The accident gives him the power of super speed and he takes on the persona of The Flash, using his powers to fight crime in Central City.
In the previous season, Barry struggled to control his powers, while at the same time fighting the other “metahumans” the faulty particle accelerator gave powers to. In this season, he faces a new problem: a black hole he opened to another universe.
The plot of “The Flash” is just as fast as the superhero, making it slightly hard to follow, especially because the show is not predictable. Even though it includes recognizable characters from the comics, it strays slightly from the original storyline, confusing readers of the comic.
