Mira Costa girls tennis defeated Brentwood High School 13-5 on Tuesday in an away game with a top performance by senior Lindsey Giese.
Continuing a great start to their season, Giese won 2 out of her 3 sets against a solid Brentwood team. According to sophomore Maya Serota, everyone showed up to play and did their best to ensure a Mustang victory.
“We are going to keep practicing hard this week,” Serota said. “We will continue to practice hard throughout the rest of the season to keep improving and becoming a better team.”
Costa, now 2-0 overall, will take on Bishop Montgomery at home on Thursday. According to Serota, this is great way to start out a promising season.
“We are really excited about our win against Brentwood,” Serota said. “And we are looking forward to having a great rest of the season.”
