Harntaweethong first started taking pictures at the age of ten. Her interest in photography came from her father, who is a former architecture photographer, and now photographs notable artists, bands, and performers and their events. As a young photographer, Harntaweethong would borrow her dad’s camera and take pictures of things that interest her around her house and neighborhood.
“I love photography because it allows me to just freeze a moment in time and be able to look at it later, share it with others, and remember all the good memories with my friends,” Harntaweethong said.
Harntaweethong specializes in lifestyle photography. She focuses on taking candid shots of people doing activities that they would normally do during their day, such as going about their daily routines.
“Lifestyle photography has always been my favorite because it shows the genuine emotions of people within the moment and i’ve always found that to be the most meaningful to me,”
Harntaweethong said. “Theres certain moments where people are just smiling so hard or just so deep in thought that they’re 100% themselves without filters.”
Harntaweethong posts her shots on her Instagram account, @annawouldgo. She utilizes this account to share the projects she is working on, as well as find people to shoot with. People interested in working with her will often comment or direct message her to set up a shoot with.

“The account is a mix of my personal and photography lives,” Harntaweethong said. “The account is mostly showing who I am, and photography is a big part of my life, so I hope to move more towards that.”
Harntaweethong photographs with a Canon 60D. When photographing, Anna focuses on the use of light and the colors produced, which makes Anna’s photography unique, Anna said.
“I really like it when the light is behind the person and it shines on the outline of their face,” Harntaweethong said.
Harntaweethong takes photography inspiration and ideas from photographers Justin Escalona and Jacob Thomas. She looks to these photographers for ideas because they relate to her style of photography, which focuses on the use of light.

“I take inspiration from these photographers because of their editing style,” Harntaweethong said. ‘They’re all consistent and give photos a dreamy look. Their shoots also have a sense of adventure because they always find unique locations.”
Harntaweethong photographs every weekend and whenever else she has time. She often schedules shoots with people, and then decides on a location with a unique background.
“My favorite part of photography is definitely meeting people,” Harntaweethong said. “I also like getting creative ideas and taking the actual pictures.”
