Mira Costa’s girls water polo team defeated Palos Verdes 13-8 on Thursday in a home game in a scoring affair with a top performance by senior attacker Chloe Le.
The Mustangs scored on the board early in the game, and were moving the ball well according to senior attacker Aminadi Anorve. Also, Costa always sustained pressure on the ball, and caused plenty of turnovers throughout the game.
“We came out strong once again,” Anorve said. “We worked hard and our passing and shooting was exceptional.”
Costa, now 6-5 overall, will next play Santa Monica on Jan. 13 in a home game. According to Anorve, Costa needs to play hard throughout the game.
“To be successful, we need to stay in the whole game and execute better on defense,” Anorve said.
