The Mira Costa Mustangs girls’ soccer team played their second game of the season at Santa Monica on Dec. 2 against Santa Monica and beat them for their first win of the season by a score of 3-1.
The game started out quick as the Mustangs scored two goals in the first half and Mira Costa’s defense didn’t allow Santa Monica to score until the second half. The girls remain undefeated this season as their record now changes to (1-0-1).
The top performers of today’s game were seniors Kendall Richter and Megan Hong, and freshman Kimby Keever. All three girls contributed their first goals of the season in the win against Santa Monica.
The Mustangs (1-0-1) next game is at home on December 3 against Narbonne.
