Rotary Solo winners attend Rotary Craftsmen Breakfast and Awards

The first, second and third place winners of the Rotary Finals Competition attended the Rotary Craftsmen Breakfast and Awards held by the local Rotary Club at the Marriott Hotel in Manhattan Beach on March 13.

The Rotary Solo Breakfast is an event where the orchestra and band students receive awards for placing at the Rotary Finals Competition. The first place winners performed their pieces and everyone who placed first, second and third received awards and cash prizes. The first, second and third place winners for the 11th and 12th grade division received $300, $200  and $150, respectively. The students who placed first, second and third for the 9th and 10th grade division received $200, $150 and $100, respectively.

“It was really nice to see all the first place winners play their pieces,” sophomore Bella Arnao said. “I was proud to get recognition for all of the work I put in in the past few months and it was great to know that there is an organization that recognizes your abilities.”
