In all events, which include women’s singles and doubles, men’s singles and doubles, and mixed doubles, Costa was able to put up a fight and score in the double digits in the majority of the games, winning their pool 67-48.
“In the final game against Loara we tried our very best and although we only won two games, we fought for those two,” Schwartz said.

Costa was put under a lot of pressure when the game against Loara was at game point, and the other team was about to win. Ultimately Costa was able to overcome this obstacle and beat Loara.
“We cheered each other on and we never gave up even when the opponent had the game point,” Mei said.

The Mustangs continue their season with an overall record of 4-1. The Mustangs next match will be against Cerritos High School on April 4 at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club.
“Personally I think I played well but I wished I had played both my mixed and my first singles game a little bit better, but I was very proud of my performance in my second singles game” Schwartz said.
