On March 18th, the Cars and Coffee Manhattan Beach charity event, “Cars and Coffee for a Cause”, was guided to put money towards the Chrysalis Foundation and create a entertaining event for Manhattan Beach citizens and other attendees to enjoy. This event comprised of an elaborate car show, food, beverages, live music, a raffle and more.
The Manhattan Beach Car Show’s monthly Cars and Coffee show is hosted by a number of teens within in the community. These teens consist of Mira Costa Junior, Ty Dillman and Senior, Connor Wohl, as well as three Juniors who attend Loyola High School. The boys have built up a strong following in social media platforms with nearly 25,000 followers and obtained car owner contacts around the city to increase the amount of cars that attend the shows.
The hosts of the Manhattan Beach Car Show have organized a number of successful Cars and Coffee events all around Manhattan Beach located at Mira Costa and by Playa Vista, just outside of Manhattan. Due to their success they wanted to go a step further getting a charity involved so they could help out a good cause as well as expand the Car Show events in Manhattan Beach.
Their decision to help raise money towards the Chrysalis Foundation was a result of the teen’s past experience, acquiring community service through helping out the homeless. The car show hosts believed their interests concerned with the homeless and love for hosting car shows provided a great opportunity. By combining these two topics, they could host a grand event that would be beneficial to the charity, the Manhattan Beach community and would help gain recognition of their car shows by creating buzz with this large event.
The Manhattan Beach Car Show hosts are happy to have had a successful event, raising over $28,000 for the Chrysalis Foundation and having a sufficient number of cars and show attendees. They are looking forward to having another event like this next year.
