Mira Costa’s track and field team failed to pull out a win at Redondo Union High School on Wednesday which began at 5:00 pm. The Mustangs ended up falling short in the 4×400 which ultimately decided the meet.

This was the Mustang’s second Bay League meet of the season as well as a qualifier for CIF. Also, this meet determined the Bay League Champions which ended up being Redondo.

“It was really hard to lose against Redondo,” said junior Jennifer Brooks. “But we gave it our all and we are excited to compete again next year and hopefully win.”

The Mustangs, 3-1, will next compete at El Camino College in the SB Champs Invite. The next event will take place April 22, at 6:00 pm.

“Everybody did their best and we really worked together as a team, whether it was placing in your event or just supporting our team mates,” said junior Ryan Mann. “I think this meet was able to highlight some of our strengths and weaknesses and we will definitely work on them for the next meet.”
