Mira Costa’s boys water polo team was defeated by Loyola Boys High School, 9-4 at home on October 27th breaking their 4 game winning streak. The top performers of the game included junior, Hudson Carter along with junior, Colin Le.

Top performer, Carter, played well in this game despite the Mustangs loss. Carter scored one goal but had multiple steals and an assist to aid his teammate Le’s score.

“We played well even though we lost because we went into the game confident,” Carter said. “They are very highly ranked in Division 1 so we got to see what that was like before CIF.”

The Mustangs will be starting playoffs otherwise knows as CIF on Thursday, November 2nd at home. Costa’s overall record is 20-9 and Bay League 8-0.

“I think we will rise to the occasion and win the CIF game on Thursday because we are higher ranked than the team we are playing and we have beat teams much higher ranked than them,” Carter said. “We will need to keep doing our thing and press hard to win.”
