Costa Boys Tennis defeats Brentwood

The Mira Costa boys tennis team defeated the Brentwood Eagles 13-5, on Thursday, Mar. 8 at Brentwood High School.  Junior Ethan Han and his doubles partner, Julien Lilla had a great performance winning all of their sets.

The Mustangs were able to pull out a win with junior Matthew Poh winning two of his sets 6-0 and 6-2. Sophomore Tim Dzhurinskiy won two out of three of his sets 6-1 and 6-4 and senior doubles partners, Ben Chromanski and Shant Samuelian won three sets 6-3, 6-0 and 6-1 crushing their opponents.

“My team’s strengths were that we kept fighting and never gave up,” Han said.

The Mustangs are currently 2-0 overall and will play the Los Alamitos high school on Tuesday, Mar. 13 at Los Alamitos High School.

“Our weakness for today’s match was that we did not have everyone on our team there,” Han said.
