Barberi builds houses in Houston

Mira Costa senior Liam Barberi helped rebuild Houston, Texas one house at a time.

Barberi and a group of South Bay high school students from Journey of Faith Church traveled to Houston for a week in June to build homes for Hurricane Harvey victims. There Barberi tore out housing installation and constructed wooden frames for the damaged houses.

“The trip stood out to me because I remembered hearing about how badly the people of Houston were affected and [they] needed help and love,”Barberi said.
