Mira Costa Boys Soccer faced Leuzinger on Jan 8 at home, destroying their opponent with a 9-1 victory.
The Mustangs dominated the whole game. Goals from Seniors Josh Guadiano, Max Haber, Pedro Rodriguez, and Colton Flake and Juniors Dillan Argue and Carson Nguyen all scored to give their team a solid lead. Leuzinger snuck in a goal in the last ten minutes, ending the game in a 9-1 win for Costa.
“I kept my head down and dribbled towards the goalie,” Agrue said. “As the goalie came out, I passed the ball around him and into the goal.”
The Mustangs have their next Bay League game this Friday against Centennial.They are currently 3 and 0, and hoping to keep their momentum going and finish the week with two wins, according to Guadiano.
“For our next game we have to create more chances and we need to make more runs off the ball,” Guadiano said.
