Costa’s ASB hosted its annual back to school night on Sept. 5, where teachers informed parents of their class curriculum and expectations for the school year.

The night began with a word from Principal Dr. Ben Dale in the auditorium, after which parents visited teachers’ classrooms for 10 minute periods. Students filled out forms with classroom numbers and teachers names before the event so that their parents knew where to go.

“The night went really well, and it was fun seeing parents fill the campus instead of students,” ASB member Maya Norman said. “Everything ran smoothly and parents seemed to be enjoying the night.”

Many teachers presented brief background information about themselves and explained what will be taught in their classes. Parents also had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the teachers.

“ASB worked really hard to help put on this night,” senior ASB member Kim Waller said. “Although, some teachers were unable to make it which upset parents.”
