The Costa girls water polo team traveled to Peninsula High School on Feb. 2 for their seventh Bay League game. With a 13-8 win, Costa ties for first place in their league and now has a record of 6-1 in Bay League and 16-6 in the season.
Junior Bianca Chong played in the goal for the entire game. She did not allow too many of Peninsula’s shots to pass her into the net. A wide variety of players added to the Mustangs’ score. Senior Natalie Lavinsky contributed four goals to Costa’s total of 13. Sophomore Sarah Crist and senior Emily Milstead each contributed two goals.
The Mustangs compete in the Southern California Championships in Orange County on Feb. 3.
