The Broad’s latest release, “Light and Space: A Film in 4K by Clarissa Tossin,” is a wonderfully-constructed cinematographic masterpiece that highlights the iconic architecture of The Broad Museum.

This excellent film is a must-watch for anyone who loves architecture or art, or simply wants to give his/her mind a rest. The highlighted architecture is unique, and the composition of the video is entertaining yet soothing.

The 11-minute YouTube video takes viewers on a relaxing journey throughout The Broad, featuring the light and shadow fixtures that the unique architecture creates throughout the museum. Although without background information, the video can be confusing at first, but it inspires viewers to visit The Broad in person in order to fully experience the breathtaking building, as well as the art.

The Broad, founded in 2015, is on Grand Avenue in Los Angeles. The museum was named after and funded by Eli and Edythe Broad to house the Broad art collection, a collection of more than 2,000 contemporary art pieces from over 200 artists. The art ranges from 1950 to the 21st century.

Although at first slightly confusing, eventually it becomes clear that those necessary expositional moments simply add to the tone of the film, heightening enjoyment.

It perfectly showcases the unique building in a relaxing and compelling way, all while complimenting it with skilled, visually-pleasing cinematography and graphics.
