Boys tennis defeated the Loyola Cubs, 10-8, for the second time on Wednesday at Costa, increasing its record to 5-0.
“What makes this team so great is how well we all play together,” junior Jensen Ring said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re a starter or on the bench, everyone shows up for one another.”
The top performer of this match was junior and number-one singles player Kelly Giese, who won all three of his matches against the Loyola Cubs, helping the Mustangs pull out a victory.
“I think the whole team performed really well today,” Giese said. “I think that the team will only get better and form stronger bonds with each and every player.”
The Mustangs were scheduled to face off against Palos Verdes High School yesterday at Palos Verdes, but scores were not available at the time of publication.
“We’ve really developed over the season which has produced very good team chemistry,” Ring said. “Because of that, we are having a very fun and successful season.”
