A viewing of the 1993 Halloween film, Hocus Pocus, took place at 6:00 pm during Oct 1 at the Westdrift Hotel golf course.
In preparation for the sequel of the film, Street Food Cinema played Hocus Pocus exclusively for the night of Oct 1 at the Westdrift Golfcourse. Food trucks were provided for the audience to enjoy a meal while the movie was played. Food trucks such as The Dim Sum Truck and District Burger offered food to the audience.
“I really liked how there was multiple options of food to choose from,” said senior Natalia Herrera, “It made the experience much more enjoyable.”
Many who watched the film growing up in the 90’s were a part of the audience, along with others who were watching the movie for the first time according to senior Natalia Herrera. A large majority of the crowd included those who habitually see the film during the Halloween season. Tickets sold in advance for $19 and tickets at the door were sold for $24.
“It’s always so fun to watch this movie around Halloween time,” said senior Natalia Herrera. “But it’s even more exciting to watch it at a venue like this.”
