On Monday, girls beach volleyball competed in the Bay League Pairs Championship in Santa Monica. Continuing their 8 year long winning streak, the Mustangs came out on top, and will advance to the CIF Pairs Championship.

“My partner and I stayed really focused throughout the whole game,” Fuerbringer said.

With the Mustangs dialed in, their play was exceptional, according to Fuerbringer. Fuerbringer and her partner, Inskeep, dominated in serve-receive, giving them the offensive advantage.

“Tanon and Savannah were able to pull out a huge win against a strong Redondo team,” Fuerbringer said.

According to Fuerbringer, the Mustangs are already setting goals as they continue into CIF. If the Mustangs practice how they intend to play, they will continue to reign as the champions.

“We want to work our hardest 24/7 and we know if we do that we will pull out a CIF championship,” Fuerbringer said.

The two pairs will move on to the CIF Pairs Championship. As for the whole team, after being named the Girls Beach Volleyball Bay League Champions, they will compete in the first round of the CIF Southern Section on April 27 at the Manhattan Beach Pier.

“The whole team has a really good connection and bond that really benefits us on the court,” Fuerbringer said.
