On November 6th, 2023, the Mira Costa Green Team set out to Redondo Marina with paddle boards and kayaks to collect as much trash as possible. They collaborate with the company Dive n Surf and do these cleanups about twice a semester.
“We ended up collecting a couple different buckets of trash,” said member Sienna Agens, “the whole thing lasted about two hours and we were able to make a pretty big impact.”
According to club members, it was really exciting to see how the marina water looks cleaner every time they go out. About 12 girls went out last weekend to donate their time, and the Green Team says that anyone is welcome to come to the next cleanup.
