Girls Soccer Shuts Out West, 3-0

Girls soccer defeated West, 3-0, last Monday. According to Senior Amanda Mckendry, the team is excited for their upcoming matchups.

“The girls played extremely well in our first couple of games of the season, ” said Mckendry. “I’m very excited to see where the rest of the season takes us.”

The Mustangs played incredibly well in their second home game of the season. Senior, Juju Arensdorf scored an outstanding 2 goals, in the first and the second half while senior, Taylor Southey scored 1 goal in the second half as well.

“All the girls made sure to show up ready and gave West High a run for their money,” said Mckendry. “I hope the next couple of games can be just as good as this one.”

Senior, Mya Clarke was an amazing center back and held her weight throughout the entire game. She never let anyone past her.

“Mya Clarke is an incredible addition to the team and she really showed her strength in this particular game,” stated Mckendry. “She always knows when to show up and get her head in the game.

The Mustangs will advance to their third home game of the season next Monday against Chaminade High School.
