The Mira Costa baseball team was unable to stand up to the West Torrance High School Warriors in their Bay League games on April 13 and 15. Ultimately, the Mustangs were shut out 4-0 in their first Bay League game of the season and lost 3-1 in the second match-up.
In the first game, when the Mustangs visited West, senior Sean Isaac tried to inspire the Mustangs with his pitching for four innings but it wasn’t enough to earn the win.
When the Warriors visited Mira Costa on April 15, senior Derek Largent scored the single run for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs play Loyola on April 16, hoping to break their losing streak.
