On April 29, the Mira Costa Mustangs fell to the Peninsula Panthers who are 16-7-1 on the season, 6-0. The Panthers are 5-1 in League and are currently in first place in Bay League.
The Panthers’s pitcher Sammy Moore shut out the Mustangs. On the Costa side, senior Michael Romo pitched for the Mustangs, though not as successfully as the Peninsula pitcher.
The Mustangs move to 14-12 on the season. In order to play in CIF, the Mustangs need to win the rest of their Bay League games. On April 30, the Mustangs hope to defeat Millikan in a nonleague game.
