In the season opener on Nov. 28, the Mira Costa boys basketball team started fresh with a win over Carson. The game was the first of a series of matches in the Pacific Shores Tournament taking place at home in the Fisher Gym.
The Mustangs (1-0) bested Carson 58-47 in Jeff Amaral’s first game as head varsity coach for Costa. Junior Cole Feaster led the Mustangs with 17 points and senior Karl Acres followed with 14.
Costa will proceed with the tournament and face Pacifica Christian on Nov. 30 in the Fisher Gym.
