The new CinemaWest Beach Cities theater recently opened its doors to the public, replacing the former Arclight Theater. The Arclight closed in 2021 due to financial struggles exacerbated by the pandemic.
While the structure remains the same, the theater features brand-new reclining seats in every auditorium, offering a more luxurious movie experience.
A ticket costs around $20, which is significantly more expensive than most theaters like AMC or Regal.
“The theater was really nice,” said senior Seamus O’Neill. “It was like an upgraded version of the Arclight with new and improved infrastructure.”
