The Mira Costa girls cross country team traveled to Boise, Idaho on Saturday to race against high schools from across the nation in the Bob Firman Invitational.

The Mustangs placed 6th in the invitational out of 16 teams. This was the first time that Costa was invited to compete in the invitational.

“It was really amazing to have the chance to travel all the way to Idaho and experience racing with girls from all over the country,” junior Kara Jeong said. “I think the team performed extremely well.”

Costa participated in a meet on Thursday at Peninsula High School, however; results are unavailable due to the time of publication.
