Mira Costa’s boys water polo team defeated Royal High School 7-2, on Friday at home with a top performance by sophomore driver Chris Agliozzo.
Playing only their second game this season, the Mustangs were ‘fired up and ready to play’, according to junior Alex Nahabed and proved that in their 5 goal victory. According to Nahabed, the boys played decent all around.
“We played fine all around, and we should’ve been more involved in the game,” said Nahabed.
Costa, now 2-0 overall, will take on Peninsula on September 20 on the road. According to Nahabed, the team needs to play their best water polo to be successful.
“To be successful, we need to not come into the game cocky and play the best we can,” Nahabed said.
