Two students are wearing glasses, and the computer controller controls the images being produced in the glass screen. The image-producing glasses station was one of many stations at TedX. Mrs. Matsui is sticking colorful pins into a board outlining the Manhattan Beach pier. The colorful pins added vibrance and essence to the canvas painting of the pier. A U Code volunteer explains to a grandmother and student that their program inspires students to reach their creative and intellectual potentials through computer science. Volunteers’ at each section explained what beneficial effects their program will have on a student. Attendees of TedX are given a variety of lunch options, such as sandwiches, salads, snacks and more. Lunch was scheduled in-between conferences around 12 p.m., and lasted for about 30 minutes. Costa student band performs in front of TedX attendees during their lunch break in the quad. The all boy-band performs at local restaurants and bars, and have been doing so for the past few years.
