Mira Costa’s annual talent show took place in the auditorium yesterday where Costa students showcased their various talents.

The talent show is an annual opportunity for all Costa students to put their talents on display or present their passions for the first time, Senior ASB officer James Marsh said.
“The thing I enjoy most about the talent show is when a student comes along who I’m not familiar with, and they get up there and they have a great talent,” Mira Costa principal Dr. Ben Dale said.

There were a total of 16 acts at the talent show. One act included the band, Working On History, which is made up of Costa students Dylan lenz, Omar Ahmed, Nico Brunstein, Kip Ambrose and Chase Evers. The band performed its original song, “Sail On.”
“We thought entering the talent show would be a good opportunity to expose ourselves and get some experience,” lead singer Dylan Lenz said.
This year’s judges were Head of ASB finance Donna Cessor, CSF adviser and science lab assistant Karen Cunningham, art teacher Amber Dixon, AP psychology teacher Aaron Kofahl and Vice principal Jon Shaw.

“All of the performances were great, but we judge based on talent and reaction from the audience,” Shaw said.
